01. Payment

Commission openings are limited and we only release a few slots at a time.

Once a slot has been confirmed and you can hold your slot with a 50% deposit or pay the full amount, sent to either:

02. Customer Agreement

By purchasing this product, you agree to the following:

• Payment Terms: A 50% non-refundable deposit fee is due to secure your commission. Once the commission is completed the remaining 50% of total payment will be due. In the event that a commission piece is changed or cancelled, the non-refundable retainer may be transferred to another project when Joanna’s time is available

• Edits: Edits are welcomed during the during the sketch phase and once the final version is created, you will be charged for revisions. Because you will have seen and approved the sketch at this point, any changes to the final visual are minor such as wording, spacing & font changes, movement of already created elements, or minor color tweaks. Additional revisions are possible, but will be billed for $20/digital image.

• Exclusivity: In order to provide the best service and art possible, Joanna must be the exclusive artist for these products. Therefore, no edits will be made to listed commissions without artist’s participation and consent.

• Turnaround time: Joanna requires 2-5 weeks to sketch, paint, and edit digital commissions for printing. For any day-of hand-painted signage, Joanna requires 1-3 weeks depending on scale of project.

• Copyright: All digital files, art, designs & all rights to them remain the sole & exclusive property of Joanna Tsai unless stated otherwise. The client(s) grant to Joanna Tsai the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use and publish photographs of the designs/art for purposes of display, advertising, portfolio, website, or any publication to promote Joanna Hope Art in any manner or medium; to alter the same without restriction.

• Clients’ rights to art: Digital art may be used by client(s) for stated purpose. Any art produced by the artist may not be sold without the express written consent of Joanna Tsai. Any photographs uploaded online with products shown will clearly attribute credit to Joanna Tsai or Joanna Hope Art. If minimal alterations to the photograph are required for the purposes of personal display or social media, client(s) will seek to maintain the original artistic integrity delivered by Joanna. Joanna has the right for future billing if the client breaks contract and art is misused
